GM Painters Kids Craters Event Update!

Countdown to Kids Craters is on!

Mark your calendars because the Kids Craters event is shaping up to be a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family! With fun activities, tasty treats, and thrilling races, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Even if you’re not participating in the race, bring the family and come out and enjoy the day.

Schedule of Events: FRIDAY 25th APRIL 2025 AT THE HUB

  • 12:00 PM: GM PAINTERS Kids Craters Registration pens – get your young riders signed up for the race.

  • 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Chill time across the road at the NEW Pump Track!. Let the kids warm up and practice their skills while enjoying music, entertainment, and grab a kiwi favourite, an ice-cream and a sausage.

  • The GM Painters Crew will be there and we’ll have some fun activities to get them and your kids busy!

  • DJ Alexi will be spinning tracks from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM to keep the vibes sweet!

  • A sausage sizzle will be in full swing, with all proceeds going to support Bike Taupo. We’re still looking for volunteers to help out – let us know if you can lend a hand!

  • Cath from Kids Bike Taupo will be there with some bikes for the little ones if needed.

  • Mr Whippy will of course be there, so treat yourself to something sweet while you cheer on the kids.

  • 2:00 PM: Kids Craters Race Begins – Watch the future champions take to the trails for an action-packed race.

  • 3:30 PM: Finishers Medals & Spot Prizes (including a major prize ) come and celebrate our riders.
